Summary:
As members of the R&D Systems Integration team, System Test Engineers are responsible for technology integration in projects and systems that have both life science/chemistry and instrumentation/engineering components with a focus on system level validation activities.
These individuals are members of a team that validate system level performance for instrumented diagnostic systems through close collaboration with assay development, hardware design, software, and other functional groups.
They have a broad knowledge base that includes life sciences and instrumentation and apply this knowledge to address issues from technology development to concept development to product launch.
System Test Engineers are characterized by their disciplined, quantitative approach to system and technology integration as well as diverse cross-functional backgrounds and experience and a general knowledge of related disciplines.
These individuals work closely with their cross-functional colleagues to utilize tools and processes such as Design for Six Sigma and BD's Global Product Development System to enable more predictable product development and high quality/value products.
In addition to technical expertise, system integrators bring strong leadership and team building skills.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Transforms system and software level requirements and specifications to create comprehensive risk-based test protocols and test cases.
Contributes to the completion of programs and projects with a focus on test engineering, including product conceptualization and develops work plans to reduce concept to design.
Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions would result in serious program delays.
Executes and documents the planned test cases to discover system and software anomalies and assists with risk evaluation and impact analysis of newly discovered anomalies.
Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of the validation and test activities.
Supports other R&D engineering teams with troubleshooting, technical characterization, and system and/or sub-system validation activities for prototypes, breadboards and production instruments.
Collects, records, reports, interprets and analyzes data, presents results to cross functional colleagues and leaders.
Responsible for employing DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) and Technology Development best practices to manage technical risk and impart product robustness and reliability.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
B.
S.
or MS in Engineering or SciencesMinimum of five years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience working with complex electro-mechanical systems preferably with exposure to automated testing.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools, requirements management and test management tools such as TFS, HP ALM / Quality Center, Cognition Cockpit, etc.
Two years' experience with in vitro diagnostic development and troubleshooting desired.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Demonstrated capability with requirement management, data acquisition, analysis and statistical methods.
Prior software experience (eg - ability to create SQL scripts, author SW test harnesses and software test utilities) highly preferred.
Familiarity with FDA regulations for Medical Devices (ie - ISO 14971 and IEC 62304 standards).
Familiarity with Agile Methodologies and DFSS highly preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
