Financial Database Analyst

ROLE: As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you will identify business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs. You will work closely with internal teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. You will provide data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.   TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with customers (internal or external) to determine business requirements, priorities and define key performance indicators (KPI) Build an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical issues Design, and document dashboards, alerts, and reports either on a regular recurring basis or as needed Conduct analyses of functional business processes and functional business requirements and participate in the development of business cases in the support of process changes May perform analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms Research business problems and create models that help analyze these business problems Coordinate metrics with other teams in the division for consistency and correctness EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree Business or equivalent required Minimum five years as an analyst Analyzing and developing digital solutions addressing internal & external customer needs   KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Proficiency in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel and Access MS SQL Reporting capabilities including: SQL Management studio SSAS - SQL Server Analysis Services SSRS - SQL Server Reporting Service SSIS - SQL Server Interface Services a plus Strong research skills and attention to detail Stellar oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Able to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to effectively collaborate with others to drive change Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills including facilitation and the ability to effectively interface and work with a wide variety of people. Must work independently. Knowledge of several business analysis techniques including, benchmarking, brainstorming, business rule analysis, data flow diagramming, data modeling, process modeling or deconstruction, metrics and key performance indicators, prototyping, risk analysis, root cause analysis, and/or scenario and use case development.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
