Part-Time Biologist

Position Summary and Responsibilities
The Part-Time Biologist will be responsible for developing Biological Assessments and Biological Reports in support of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) impact analyses, with legal interface and regulatory agency coordination.
Other Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing technical reviews of environmental and biological analysis work by others, and providing recommendations to customers.
Possible task areas include siting analysis and participation in project planning. Ability to support other environmental areas is a plus.
Education and Experience:
Requires a BS in Biology from an accredited college or university, plus a demonstrated ability to perform research, development, design, or a closely related function in one of the technology specialties.
Additional requirements:
Hands on experience reviewing biological literature and discerning the impact of an activity on environmental resources. Experience preparing biological assessments and biological reports required.
Must have highly developed written and oral skills.
Must be able to understand how to obtain and explain detailed technical information to non-technical personnel.
Must be able to work well within a team environment.
Must be flexible and able to simultaneously work multiple complex tasks.
Must be able to communicate well and diplomatically with personnel of all levels including senior leadership.
Must be proactive and energetic ? a self-starter.
Must have ability to learn and understand technical details of a wide range of DoD project-types.
Ability to obtain and hold a Secret Clearance is required.
Strongly Preferred:
Experience with terrestrial and marine species and habitat a plus
An MS in Biology plus 5 ? 10 years of applicable experience is also a big plus for this position

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
