Are you a tax professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for the financial industry? We are seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Senior Tax Manager with a focus on Hedge Funds.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join our dynamic and fast-paced team, where you will play a crucial role in managing tax operations, ensuring compliance, and optimizing tax strategies.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1.
Managing the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and related reports for hedge funds.
2.
Overseeing the preparation and review of Forms 1042 and 1065.
3.
Developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency and ensure compliance with regulations.
4.
Providing tax guidance to internal teams and clients, including advising on tax implications of proposed transactions and new tax laws.
5.
Conducting complex tax research and analysis to support tax positions and resolve tax issues.
6.
Collaborating with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
7.
Leading and mentoring junior tax staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
8.
Keeping abreast of current developments in tax laws and regulations and advising management on the impact of these changes on the business.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following
Qualifications:
1.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
2.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax management role, preferably within the hedge fund industry.
3.
In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws, with particular expertise in Forms 1042 and 1065.
4.
Proven experience in tax planning and strategy development.
5.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax information and regulations.
6.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior staff.
7.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in clear, non-technical language.
8.
A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
9.
A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate issues and devise effective solutions.
10.
Proficiency in tax software and other relevant technology.
